Little Brick House . San Giovanni in Persiceto

Little Brick House is a renovation project we did in 2019 on a Persiceto rural house, a typical sample of the of the mid-twentieth century Bolognese countryside house typology. The clients are Ellen, Michele, Tommaso and Nicola, a young family who decided to move away from the historic center of Bologna and build a house to suit them in a quieter area of the city. A project as such is a type of commission that an architect may face several times in their professional life, when building a project for a member of their family. The “Casa delle arti di Comacchio” has been a perfect case study in the analysis of these questions—a public work, of significant social importance, made with a reduced budget and the need to satisfy highly-technical acoustic standards, while also being located in a context of great historical and monumental value— a true commitment to low-profile local architecture with a high impact on the community. La primera edición del Festival de la madera, organizado por CampoAbierto en Rivera, Uruguay, tenía claramente marcados dos objetivos:
