The original forest pools were built in 1967 in an idyllic forest clearing high above Lucerne. In the meantime, defects in the gradually remodeled and expanded facility became increasingly noticeable. The building of the Traffic Commission in Mühlhausen was constructed in 1957 and was expanded in 1997. Due to the police structural reform in 2014 Vermögen und Bau Baden-Württemberg supplemented the existing building with an administrative extension and, in this context, constructed a workshop and garage section.
