KLEINHAUS is a project designed, planned and implemented by Sophie Kotter and Clemens Hoyer. The design focus is the use of sustainable, resource-saving and regional materials.
Inspired by its terraced hillside situation, the apple trees and the old monastery wall, the small house adapts phenomenologically to its surroundings.
The cubature of KLEINHAUS follows the hillside, while the theme of the slope continues into the interior of the building. The multiple level „one room“ for living, working and sleeping forms niches, seating areas and platforms. A special feature is the apple tree, which grows through the KLEINHAUS as a living object.
