Nicolas Dorval-Bory Architectes . VORBOT
This artist residency project – the old house of writer and journalist Jean-Richard Bloch – began with the analysis of the architectural potential of the existing situation, with the idea of revealing what was already great. Working specifically on a particular light, between natural and artificial, we created here a new relationship between outside and inside. With the key architectural element of Second Jour (second day/second light) in mind, our project offers specific atmospheric conditions to each room, through notably a narrow 6m high bright space with vivid and changing light, between the apartments of the artists.
