On the extension islands IJburg in Amsterdam, Mulders vandenBerk Architects have made 16 different private houses on individual plots. IJB 5932 is one of these houses.
_
IJB 5932 is a private house designed on the corner of a block of individual houses. The house is designed as a stucco volume lifted above street level on an Accoya wooden plinth. The wooden plinth starts vertical as a division between the house and the neighboring house and continues along the side of the house to end as a fence along the garden. The grey volume on top holds the bedrooms. The windows are scattered around the volume randomly.
