This brief site description contains the main conditions to explain the project strategy: The size explains the height and number of floors (3) and the minimum occupation possible (40 m2). Parents are the reason to concentrate the free space converting the garden into access and lobby of the house. The orientation explains how the south facade is the main source of light and views; it does so without any limit, using a set of large recycled windows. The overtures are complemented by a polycarbonate greenhouse gallery that performs as heat collector and sun protector. Only the north facade contains other windows to allow good cross ventilation.
The stairs, single-section, transversal and reversible, acts as vertical circulation and distributor of the six resulting spaces, only the bathroom and laundry are specific to it’s function, the rest five assume in ambiguous way the domestic program awarded at the end by customers. The spaces are highly characterized in terms of geometry, material, and comfort but little in terms of function.

... Una parcela a Sur realmente pequeña, fruto de la segregación del jardín de casa los padres de Judith ... Esta breve descripción del solar contiene las principales condiciones que explican la estrategia del proyecto: El tamaño explica la altura y el número de plantas (3) así como la mínima ocupación posible (40 m2). Los padres son la razón de concentrar el espacio libre convirtiendo el jardín resultante en acceso y vestíbulo de la vivienda. La orientación explica como la fachada sur es la principal fuente de iluminación y vistas, que lo hace sin ningún tipo de límite, aprovechando un conjunto de grandes ventanas recicladas. Las oberturas se complementan con una galería de policarbonato escalonada que actúa como captador y protector. Únicamente la fachada a Norte contiene otras ventanas para permitir una buena ventilación cruzada. La escalera, de un solo tramo, transversal y reversible, es la circulación vertical y distribuidor de los 6 espacios resultantes, de estos únicamente el baño y lavadero son específicos a una función, el resto asumen de la forma más ambigua posible el programa doméstico que acabaron determinando los clientes. Los espacios son intencionadamente caracterizados en términos de geometría, materia, y confort pero poco determinados en términos de función.
