Students investigated on the potential of architecture to encourage relations between people, as a reaction to the phenomena of solitude which is more and more taking over the peripheral regions of Ticino, of Switzerland, of Europe. Improving the existential conditions of elderly people means involving the population as a whole, considering the complexity of its surrounding. The territory of the small village of Monte, therefore, becomes an experimental laboratory to look for innovative solutions to achieve a positive relationship between the well-being of the person in age and the environment surrounding it.
