Building 85 . Bungenäs

Byggnad 85 was built as a part of the developing of the Bungenäs area in the North of Gotland. The site is a former lime stone quarry and abandoned military area, containing many hidden bunkers and secret underground rooms.
It is strategically located on the highest plateau on Bungenäs, with the Baltic Sea in three directions and the quarry in the West. The building and the inner courtyards form a perfect square which is made visible by the horizontal and vertical grid made of pine bars. With time, these will be taken over by vegetation that will camouflage the building and integrate it into the landscape. Continue reading Skälsö
