In 2022, the first edition of De Renava took place, a contemporary art biennale aimed at revitalizing forgotten, abandoned, or even ruined places through an exhibition that takes the form of a sensory journey in the streets of the old town of Bonifacio. This second edition of the biennale, featuring just under twenty invited artists, tells the story of nostalgia for lost paradises, the emancipation of thought, the slow conquest of freedom, and the cyclical nature of building an ideal that already contains the seeds of its destruction. The presented project is the development of the forecourt welcoming the biennale. The main challenge of this commission lies in the ability of the intervention to generate interest, as well as to signify the entrance and invite people to rediscover places filled with history.
