The remodeled Gallery of the Kings at Turin’s Museo Egizio, designed by David Gianotten and Andreas Karavanas of OMA in collaboration with Andrea Tabocchini Architecture, was inaugurated by the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella during the museum’s bicentenary celebration. In contrast to the original black box gallery – designed in 2006 by scenographer Dante Ferretti – the new space provides context for the ancient Egyptian statues and aims to inform audiences about their original place of creation in Thebes, or modern-day Luxor. The State Government of Western Australia has unveiled the design for the renovation of the Perth Concert Hall – a 51-year-old heritage-listed building of great cultural significance. OMA’s Australian office and Perth-based WITH Architecture Studio are together creating the new home for the West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO), featuring state-of-the-art rehearsal and performance infrastructure. The renovation will also expand the visitor experience with new public spaces, upgraded food and beverage offerings, and improved seating within the auditorium to achieve better sightlines. Tales & Tellers is an exhibition that brings together the video content produced through Miu Miu’s collaboration with female filmmakers and artists over more than ten years.
