A concrete wall frames the property on three sides, along the adjacent roads. Toward the front, the wall is designed as a horizontal base that is set back from the main volume above and ties into the existing situation of the neighbouring building. This forms a generous covered entrance area, which is perceived as an extension of the public realm along the main street. The cantilevered cube protrudes to mark the intersection of to streets.
The large corners windows make the volume appear light and airy and play with the scale of the building in the context of the neighbourhood. Continue reading Hurst Song
