The Children’s Day Care Center is built in the borderland between the beach and the old fishing town Råå, directly connected to the local school. The building is shaped as an interpretation of the condensed village structure immersed in a dune. The Children’s Culture House mediates the varying scales of adjacent buildings through extruding and cutting their forms. The joint of the building, where the extened lines of the existing buildings meet, is low- ered to allow maximum sunlight to reach the neighboring courtyard.
