The new construction of a two-group kindergarten with an area of 535m² in the municipality of Ramsau was completed in 2018. The new construction enters into dialogue with the existing architecture of the rural settlement structure and is intended to show a further development of traditional construction in a modern form. The urban architecture of the area was taken up and re-translated with a gable roof and the typical wooden facade. The alignment of the structure and the large opening to the movement area have the purpose of allowing the village to establish visual connections with the kindergarten. Inside, too, the children can move around and develop freely. A type case made of wood and running over the entire depth serves, for example, as an exhibition shelf for children’s works of art. It also forms a kind of room divider to the rooms behind it, such as the multifunctional room, kitchen and staff room. Continue reading Baukooperative
