It is a retreat for individuality and a platform for community, a place of art, literature, music and free space for creative work, be it in the garden, the kitchen, the library or the gym. It is not a place for representation, but for cultivating community and celebrating hospitality. House Djurö is a carefully designed and crafted cast in situ concrete building, perched on a cliff overlooking the Stockholm Archipelago. The building is defined by its two flanking walls. Extending beyond the corners of the building, they help express the direction of views from the entrance towards the sea. while simultaneously providing additional privacy towards the neighbouring properties. The Glenmorangie Distillery located in northern Scotland, near the city of Tain, is a cornerstone in the Highlands’ history and heritage. The distillery was founded in 1843 between sea and earth. The Glenmorangie Company has launched a competition in 2016 for an extension to its Tain’s historical site, and entrusted Barthélémy Griño to achieve the project. Continue reading Barthélémy Griño
