The project involves the transformation of a historic building, erected in 1898, into a complex of apartments located in Lisbon. Throughout the 20th century, the property underwent various uses and modifications. The current intervention preserves only a few elements of the original construction.

The new configuration, which is U-shaped and south-facing, optimizes both sun exposure and views. The proposal is organized around two courtyards: the first, open to the north, allows the original facade to be preserved without alterations; the second, facing south, functions as an exterior space connecting and extending the private living area.

The intervention entailed an inversion in the residential complex’s volumetric design: while the built volume was enlarged toward the north, certain sections were demolished toward the south to reduce their visual impact. In this way, the project ensures harmonious integration and morphological continuity within the urban fabric.·
