The project involves raising a building in a suburb of Toulouse.
The elevation is done using a wooden frame to minimize the load on the existing foundations and load-bearing walls. Five duplex apartments are constructed using a prefabricated wooden frame system. Thermal devices are incorporated to enhance the living quality of the apartments. The common areas serve as a light and ventilation shaft at the heart of the project, allowing for natural ventilation of the apartments. A double-glazed facade along Boulevard des Minimes creates a thermal buffer that protects and insulates the west-facing apartments.
This intermediate space increases usable areas during mid-seasons.·

Le projet consiste en la surélévation d’un immeuble de faubourg à Toulouse. La surélévation est réalisée en ossature bois afin de minimiser la surcharge des fondations et des murs porteurs du bâtiment existant. Cinq logements en duplex sont construits selon un dispositif constructif en mur ossature bois préfabriqué. Des dispositifs thermiques viennent donner une qualité d’usage aux appartement. Les parties communes constituent un puit de jour et de ventilation au cœur du projet afin de ventiler naturellement les appartements. Une double peau vitrée sur le boulevard des Minimes vient créer un tampon thermique qui protège et isole les logements exposés ouest. Cet espace intermédiaire augmente les espaces utilisable à la mi-saison.
