Inspired by Sleipnir, Odin’s mythical steed, the project celebrates horses as noble companions by creating a geological temple in the middle of nature.
The retreat lies hidden in a dormant Icelandic volcano, submerging itself to preserve the crater’s majesty as if it were a carved and sculpted stone. A circular central courtyard mirrors the volcano’s form, organizing stables, accommodation and communal areas into a Domus for horses.
