Rooms as landscapes…
The large open ground floor of the Poppy Factory is an expansive landscape where activities take place in close proximity and therefore within easy reach and in full view of users, facilitating orientation and social interaction between staff, factory workers visitors and tenants.

Courtyards are arranged to form a natural sequence of green spaces, which allow light penetration and movement across the site. The existing chestnut trees at the edge of the site, the planting of the current car park and a new green roof are part of a strategy to create a green environment for working and visiting.

Competition First prize, but so far unrealised.

The city of Salzburg, developed between two hills, has since the past been influenced by buildings on them that became landmarks for the city: the Hohensalzburg Fortress and the Kapuzinerkloster.
The idea of the project is to create a new Landmark in which the city can recognise itself, the Museum of the Modern.
A ‘cultural project’ starting with the image of the city and its heritage, recreating a spatial Baroque, inspired by the profile of the city’s rooftops.
The strategy consists of a vertical extension on the existing museum, adding two new floors and modifying the original form in relation to the functions.
With this intervention, the functions already present in the museum are reorganised and combined with the new extension.
The intervention relies on the structure of the existing museum and utilises its vertical circulation, modifying the accesses and paths.
The roof plan shows several roofs, each corresponding to a different space, which in some cases are inserted into the existing building, creating spaces with different heights.
In the façades, the existing museum concrete relates with the new concrete, creating a joint between new and old.
