The architecture of Albor Hotel in San Miguel de Allende effortlessly integrates with the surrounding natural environment. The hotel emerges naturally from the terrain, framing a beautiful view of the valley. The hotel’s stone base is inspired by the mountain’s interior, featuring a textured and colorful appearance.
The lower levels of the hotel feature a range of purple hues, typical of the local stone, creating a vibrant and dynamic contrast with the natural surroundings. The upper levels of the hotel have a minimalistic design, with clear separation between the public and private areas.
The hotel’s interior features large sculptural ceramic pieces inspired by the local flora, which create a visually stunning display that guides guests through the space and highlights the natural surroundings. The pieces, which are artisanally crafted by the company Latitude, are suspended in space and adorned with intricate graphic interventions created by the Mexican artist Omar Barquet.
The private rooms, located on the three upper levels of the hotel, maintain a natural and minimalistic style, similar to the public areas. The rooms feature a natural color palette and materials such as mineral clay, local crafts, wooden furniture, and natural fabrics, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere for guests.
The hotel’s stone base accommodates the public spaces, which blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape and offer unparalleled views of the city. The public areas offer a flexible design both inside and outside, creating a unique social experience in San Miguel de Allende. The hotel’s public program includes a lobby, restaurant, bar, gym, multipurpose room, pool area with a grill, and a future extensive garden with terraces for events.

La arquitectura del Hotel Albor en San Miguel de Allende se integra sin esfuerzo al entorno natural que lo rodea. El hotel emerge naturalmente del terreno, enmarcando una hermosa vista del valle. El basamento pétreo está inspirado en el interior de la montaña, con un aspecto texturizado y colorido. Los niveles más bajos del hotel cuentan con una paleta de tonos púrpuras, típicos de la piedra local, creando un contraste vibrante y dinámico con el entorno natural. Los niveles superiores del hotel tienen un diseño minimalista, con una clara separación entre las áreas públicas y privadas. Al interior, presenta grandes piezas escultóricas de cerámica inspiradas en la flora local, creando un conjunto visualmente impactante que guía a los huéspedes a través del espacio y resalta el entorno natural. Las piezas, hechas de manera artesanal por Latitude, se encuentran suspendidas en el espacio y adornadas con intrincadas intervenciones gráficas creadas por el artista mexicano Omar Barquet. Las habitaciones privadas, situadas en los tres niveles superiores del hotel, mantienen un estilo natural y minimalista, similar al de las áreas públicas. Las habitaciones presentan una paleta de colores naturales y materiales como el barro de origen mineral, artesanías locales, mobiliario de madera y tejidos naturales, que proporcionan un ambiente acogedor a los huéspedes. El basamento de piedra alberga las áreas comunes, que se funden a la perfección con el paisaje circundante y ofrecen unas vistas incomparables de la ciudad. Las zonas públicas ofrecen un diseño flexible tanto en el interior como en el exterior, creando una experiencia social única en San Miguel de Allende. El programa público del hotel incluye el lobby, un restaurante, un bar, un gimnasio, una sala multiusos, una zona de piscina con grill y en el futuro, un extenso jardín con terrazas para eventos.
