Television Centre Plot D is a 100,000ft² (net) speculative office for Stanhope PLC located in the north-west corner of the wider-Television Centre (TVC) masterplan. The development seeks to open-up and transform the once home of the BBC into a mixed-use development including office and studio space for the BBC, complementary entertainment and leisure facilities, public open space, offices, housing and a hotel. The wider architectural team include AHMM, Maccreanor Lavington and DRMM.
Plot D is separated from the main body of the ‘Question Mark’ by the internal service road – referred to as The Crescent. Plot D proposes a mix of uses at ground floor with nine storeys of office space above. At ground, there is a mixed programme with a Class Use A3 (Cafe or Restaurant) offer to the south-west corner which opens onto The Crescent and visually connects to Hammersmith Park. Primary entrances to the office reception area and cafe are provided along the south-east facade fronting The Crescent. Secondary entrances are located further along the south-east, providing emergency egress and access to car, cycle and motorcycle parking, refuse store and service areas.
