A triptych:
the Man, the Celestial Sphere and the Landscape.
_
This project investigates the human condition in relation with the other two: the Man, by gazing at the sky and facing the landscape, is immediately brought to an atavistic perspective, by doing so he
re-activate an ancestral condition.
This archaic dimension induced a design based upon archetype forms with great evocative meanings: the circle and the square.
The circle represents the perfection of the celestial spheres, it is translated into round roof-windows that symbolize the telescope pointing to the sky.
The square represents the Man and architecture, a shelter where being protected.
Architecture and sky, squares and circles, to fully enter in relation need a third element: the landscape.
The abstract architectural forms finally lay down onto the site orography to embrace the local landscape and mimic the traditional towns and Roccascalegna castle.
Architecture is here a means to establish a relation between the man, the celestial vault and the nature.
