KaDeWe opens first renovated sections.

The first phase of OMA’s renovation scheme for Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe) has been completed.
KaDeWe’s first stage of transformation includes the ground floor facade on Tauentzienstaße, with a new entrance designed in collaboration with Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis and new shopping windows, reminiscent of the original windows design from 1907.
Inside, within OMA’s masterplan two different quadrants have been designed by Storage and India Mahdavi and will also be opened to the public.
