The new building for a bank, library and housing in Sand will become an important social meeting place for the community in Nord-Odal municipality. The project was developed with a special concern for different user groups’ well-being, with an emphasis on functionality and flexible organization.

With a strong interest in understanding the project site and its context topography, location and orientation, the proposal offers well-thought exterior and interior spaces in accordance to the sunlight and wind conditions as well as a good integration and connections to its surroundings.
The new bank, library and housing building is planned on a long-term thinking in relation to both human and financial resources. The architecture aims at shaping the optimal framework for a modern and flexible building, where the design is in a close dialogue with logistic aspects for the benefit of residents, visitors and employees.
