The street with its neo-classic facades is the decor of the renovation of the revalidation centre for young people in Ninove.

Closer investigation of the true spirit of the street there shows a kind of ‘hidden living’ behind static facades.

The intention of the design is to obtain an open transparent project, integrated in its specific context. An interaction of pavillions and gardens defines a bypass between the two streets. It becomes an open house, accessible for everybody.

The program is developped in close collaboration with the client in order to give to each participant – child therapists and parents – their own space and trail through the building.

The duality between the outside – the static street –and the inside – a transparent open house – results in a new spatial dynamism.
