Two sheds are placed together with an existing bungalow. They stand as pavilions in the garden, built as simple structures out of larch wood. A facade of double doors allows the possibility of opening the sheds entirely. They become robust frames for different functions and activities. Continue reading Philip Lütken

In Copenhagen, Amager, you find a large suburban area of villas. Here, a grandmother moved into the house of her daughter. By selling her previous home, it became possible to finance the construction of a small extension to the daughter’s house. An extension that stands in connection with the existing, but at the same time functions as an independent home for the grandmother, or multiple generations that might come in the future. Junia, a temporary, moveable and tiny church in Nordhavnen, Copenhagen. We imagined the church as a monumental figure amongst the sheds of the harbour. A figure, informed by the wooden structures of the area and the rich brick churches of the city. We took great joy in recognizing the contradiction between these two typologies.
