New suites in the park complement the monotonous range of rooms in a former military base, which was successfully converted into a hotel some time ago. Through their different geometry and placement, the suites act as interludes between landscape and architecture. The demand for a unique experience of spatial opulence has resulted in an architecture that is not only characterised by the view and furnishings, but is itself the centre of attraction. A home with the freedom of not having to build everything that would be possible. The large bedroom on the top floor requires a building with the maximum possible extension below it. Over the past years many Swiss municipalities have been introducing the concept of a day-school to their range of educational facilities. A place where school children of all ages can go for breakfast, practice an instrument, play, have lunch together or pursue a hobby after lessons – thus allowing the parents to work full time.
