The building is located between the main avenue of the campus and the university residential area. Its goal is to offer an open, permeable building that invites students of the Paris Saclay university campus to enter a space for socializing, research, and work, featuring easy usage and continuous interior circulation. El proyecto se ubica en el interior del recinto perimetral del Colegio Bienaventurada Virgen María las Irlandesas, obra de los hermanos Barquín y Barón, de 1964. Se trataba de construir una escuela infantil, así como dar solución a algunas patologías en aulas preexistentes, que formarían parte de todo el conjunto. El programa funcional se detalla en base a aulas de nueva construcción junto a un patio de juegos, y a un patio de invierno (para solventar la climatología, permitiendo el desarrollo de otras actividades).
