The MK House is located in an area of the island of Mallorca that is still relatively uninhabited and undeveloped by tourism. Geographically, it is bounded to the north by the coastal area, open to the Tramuntana mountain range, and to the south by a mountain chain that gradually closes off the area until reaching the sea. This space is articulated in three floors: the central area, access and image from the outside; the lower floor, a collective gathering place; and the upper floor, a more private work and meeting area.The ground floor is marked by the desire to build the deep perspective from the street to the interior, based on a sequence of interconnected but diverse spaces: the entrance, initial place; control and access to the other floors, then informal work area and finally more private spaces, all of them adding up in the perspective from the outside. The ESMA (École Supérieure des Métiers Artistiques) stands on the site of a former army barracks, specifically on the parade ground.

Military buildings to be reused and new buildings that will shape a new neighbourhood surround us. We outline the parade ground, respecting the great trees around its edges and defining an open communal courtyard. The volume, though rigid, seeks to adapt to the place. Three different buildings surround a large inner space.
In this courtyard we find the car park. Partially closed and cove- red with vegetation, it offers the backdrop to the scene.
