A big house on the hillside with diversified interior levels. The grand house near the forest boundary in Kuesnacht corresponds to the hillside situation with slightly gradational floors. The houses volume follows the estate on three sides. Though in the south-west corner it gives room to a protected garden area through a round incision. The interior is branded by two flights of stairs which allow a circuit around a nearly enclosed three-storied air space from the kitchen through the living room to the bedrooms in the upper floor. This elegant residential building, which replaces a small villa from the 1930s, is located in a quiet neighbourhood on a sunny slope in Feldmeilen overlooking Lake Zurich. It offers a stepped garden flat in the plinth and two maisonettes on the upper floors. With its generous terraces and large openings on the lakeside, the house responds to the impressive view and to an open garden plain. In contrast, the street side with its small forecourt, gravelled driveways and a simple fountain that collects rainwater from the canopy, has a rather unpretentious character that is emphasised by a black painted wood cladding. Bankstrasse building . Uster

The new building on Bankstrasse is located in the core zone and is in a prominent urban location: Located directly opposite of the Uster train station, the residential and commercial building replaces a heterogeneous, small-scale development and closes the gap in a block between the two banking houses of Raiffeisenbank and Credit Suisse. The massive structure of the building refers to the neighboring Credit Suisse property, which is a listed building and therefore strongly influences the street space. The representative significance of the high, stone semibasement is essential in this respect, as its use for gastronomy is intended to strengthen the revitalization of Bankstrasse.
