The search for large and open spaces, the commitment to flexibility in the distribution of the program and the desire to design a relaxed atmosphere and a clean style are some of the characteristics that define this project. The main strategy focuses on differentiating the nighttime uses from the daytime uses. The more private programs are moved to the interior of the floor in order to bring the public programs closer to the street. The abstraction and the search for the purely essential finds its maximum expression in this project. MIM is a store specializing in women’s footwear whose big goal is to show the product in a surprising way. The desire to explore new housing typologies inspires this proposal. Casa M60 is the result of an investigation based on flexibility and proposes, through a series of strategies, the creation of non-hierarchical units. Neutrale’s first store in Barcelona continues the exploration begun in previous spaces.

Once again, the Mediterranean aesthetic characterizes the atmosphere and achieves it, in this case, using new aesthetic resources. Brand identity and sales experience, two of the most researched concepts in the office´s professional practice, are once again at the forefront.

Los Molinos library is part of an ambitious project framed in a public competition won by estudio DIIR in 2018. The main desire of the project lies in adapting the entire complex – a former school group – to the needs of the present. Thus, what was formerly conceived to accommodate a specific program, completely changes its use. The playground becomes a public square, the classrooms a cultural center or, as in this project, the former teachers’ dormitories become a municipal library. Continue reading estudio DIIR
