House in Yucatán

Ziggurhut is a villa of two similar houses in the Yucatán peninsula. It’s close to the jungle ruins of Mayan cities and to the beachy spot where the dinosaur-killing asteroid hit the earth. One history caused a global calamity while the other records a regional ancestry. Our interest in designing the house surrounds the idea of local culture and global forms. Continue reading d.esk
