Iorram is a small new-build cottage in the Scottish Highlands. Situated within the Plockton Conservation Area, the house occupies a tight triangular plot, with the building orientated to address a single-track lane. Taking advantage of this easterly aspect, a large opening, tucked under the eaves, looks out over the harbour to the rocky crags across the bay. The steep, blade-like roof is contrasted against a muscular, lime-harled volume, with an offset chimney on the southerly gable. Continue reading Baillie Baillie
