After its completion, Schuhfabrik Hug built in 1933 was considered “a new factory building in the latest design with all air conditioning and lighting installations”. The linden green industrial building with a length of about 100 metres standing parallel to the railroad tracks is the Olten region’s leading representative of the New Building movement (Neues Bauen).
