THE CONCEPT
Away from any civilization and after a long walk across a 100 % pure landscape. Pulpit Rock is reached. A magical and overwhelming natural viewpoint.
Outside, the project is invisible, it doesn’t disturb the powerful personality of the place and preserves the first perception of the nature the way it is.
Inside, the intervention is understood as a succession of interior viewpoint spaces, which they return the visitor to a human scale peeling and putting in value every natural element that is present to end up by discovering the landscape in all its magnitude.
INSIDE OUT is bom relying on this duality, a mediator among nature and human.
DESCRIPTION
Once the first impression of the landscape is obtained, the visitors enter the mediator across the narrow alley that descends up to the chamber of adjustment: a wide space that allows beginning a process of re-adaptation to the human habitual scale.
The broken geometry forces the user to go stepwise, discovering every new space and to be able to perceive both the mountain and the exterior space in all its possible ways.
To complete the process the individual ends into the great exterior viewpoint where the real scale of the nature is re-discovered.
The materiality of the project consists of natural rock and a metal grill for the horizontal surface that accompanies the visitor along the whole intervention ending in the outside, over the shape of a flying carpet.
