Residence consisting of 50 housing units for former immigrant workers, a family pension, and social housing.
It is located in the eastern neighborhoods of Toulon, on the site of the former city ramparts. The existing layout served as the starting point for designing the volume of this extension. We found it wise to break down the overall volume to achieve proportions similar to those of the existing structures.
The choice of materials also serves as a reminder of the treatments used on the facades of the city.·

Il s’agit d’une résidence de 50 logements pour anciens travailleurs immigrés, Pension de Famille et Résidence Sociale. Elle prend place dans les quartiers Est de Toulon en lieu et place des anciens remparts de la ville. La composition en plan de l‘existant fut le point de départ pour composer la volumétrie de cette extension. Il nous a semblé judicieux de morceler la volumétrie générale afin de retrouver des proportions similaires aux existants. Le choix du matériau est également un rappel aux traitements des façades de la cité.
