Aiming for a balance between integration into the landscape, respect for the built heritage and sustainability concerns, the project proposes to occupy as little ground space as possible.
For this reason, two distinct constructions are proposed. In this way, the project divides its volume, avoiding the imposing language of a single, large, urban building, and respects the natural territory and its vegetation. The project becomes as much a part of the landscape as it is of the existing educational complex.
Le Point: is positioned to the south of the site, occupying the space of a removed parking lot. Its morphology is as familiar as it is foreign to the site: a low, square shape, this time cut off by the construction limits. Le Point assumes its particularity while carefully aligning itself with the existing buildings.
La Barre: its precise location takes care of maintaining a studied relationship with the structure of the original building. Its orientation and elongated proportions take into account the orientation of the school, while aiming for a discreet perception of the addition.
