Sergison Bates
A visit to our care campus at Kruisem, near Oudenaarde. Two buildings join an existing church to form a new ensemble. The site was a former monastery and the new buildings echo the simple strong forms and footprints of the former collective settlement. Brick pilasters with concrete profiles give rhythm and an adjusted proposition to each election and reflect the profiles used on the church to emphasise the connection of the three buildings as a triptych.
Connecting the buildings is a semi open arcade which becomes a social space.

The RCR Round Table represents the strong link between the architectural work of RCR arquitectes and their project in the Vila, becoming thus a symbol of their spirit of collaboration and shared creativity.

Wood Up
Almost completed —- Wood Up: 132 apartments
This project provided an opportunity to explore low-carbon construction (BBCA label). At fifty meters high, the Wood Up tower is one of the first examples of a vertical wooden structure building in Europe.
The technical challenge and constraints associated with this type of construction were the starting point for an unprecedented typological.
