Construction progress of Sou Fujimoto’s ring roof, 60,000sqm Timber structure green roof for 2025 EXPO in Japan, Osaka and Kansai area, collaborating with TOHATA ARCHITECTS & ENGINEERS and Azusa Sekkei Co., Ltd.
This timber construction roof is part of the main circulation of the Expo master plan, providing spectacular experiences, while protecting visitors from rain and strong sunlight.
People can go up to the top of the roof where is the observatory deck, can enjoy the view to the sea and sunset and is covered by greens and flowers, changing its impression season by season.
