The Berlage Keynotes

Andy Groarke recently delivered a lecture at The Berlage, Tu Delft entitled ‘Taking Care of Matters’.
The lecture began with an introduction to a number of key themes and guiding principles that run through the studio’s work, including the lifespan of temporary and permanent projects, the adaption and reuse of existing buildings, the relationship between artists and architects and the accumulation of references and precedents that influence the character of a building.
This was followed by a conversation on the design and construction of two significant projects, The Hill House Box and the Design Museum Gent.
