The 50 Queens have officially arrived at Copenhagen’s iconic King’s Square, kicking off the annual Golden Days Festival by Royal appointment of Her Majesty, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. The temporary exhibit, led by BIG Landscape Partner Giulia Frittoli, adds 50 pedestals of notable women in Danish history to the public square – temporarily titled ‘Queen’s Square’ – bringing more diversity to the city’s many (male) statues. Following the exhibit, the statues will be spread to cities all across Denmark.
