New technologies have changed the media presence to a large extent. But how much do the mass media influence us in our everyday lives? How much do they affect behaviour within society today?
Empty and contextless the big box, which suddenly appeared in Saint Étienne in 1970, evolved over the years into a media house for the city. The visitors, who can also become potential residents during their stay, access the four different plateaus of the cube through the base. Here in the centre is the archive of knowledge and on the side’s various storage rooms. The second plateau is an open office space for various radio stations and TV channels. The Third Plateau is used for training and education and houses a school in the field of media studies. The fourth and therefore last plateau is for recreation. In addition to some recovery areas, there are individual living units for the employees and students of the media house.
