Sushi Shunei is a traditional Japanese restaurant located in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, in a long and narrow space, that is not unlike a lot of places in Tokyo. The chef’s counter is all the way to the back, in a central position, from where he can orchestrate the meals of his guests.
Using typical japanese materials and geometries, such as wood panels and timber structures, the atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and warm. The lighting system adds another layer of depth to the scenery, being abstract but reminiscent of shoji paper.
