Going out to nature, where the weather and the environment are constantly changing, is an essential part of our lives. In this invited competition, we were asked to develop proposals for viewpoints and paths in the beautiful, pastoral landscape of Vejle. Unfolded in three distinct locations, the interventions highlight each site’s specific character. Nørreskoven, Tørskind and Hvidbjerg all offer cultural history and unique natural experiences.
The lookout in Nørreskoven is born out of the relation between visitors and the forest. The Tørskind intervention is located in a garden punctuated with sculptural art pieces. In Hvidbjerg, the proposal focuses on the dynamic relationship between human and landscape. The combination of lookout and physical activity makes it an attractive year-round destination.
