The original apartment was built in 1968 in accordance with the project by the architect Celestino Martínez. It features a common domestic display for deep urban block buildings, with a north-south distribution where the common home spaces extend from the north alignment towards the street to the opposite façade open to a south interior courtyard.
What we propose here is a bootleg that collects the existing bases and punctually adds new elements while eliminating certain successive interventions on the original type that have been valued as distorting. To result in a remix in which the basic rhythm is defined by the pre-existence. A reissue of the house of ‘68 with an adaptation of ‘service’ facilities to contemporary uses. The proposed actions are ordered in three interventions (kitchen-laundry / gallery-common area / living room).
Some fidelity to the original definition is intended, as it was based on an elegant design with common finishes such as dark varnished sapelly wood, which is the protagonist in floors and carpentry elements such us continuous fronts or large drawers of blinds in window lintels.

Therefore, understanding that the essence of the character of the apartment resides in that remix between textures of connotations that pursue the classic and modern details, it is proposed:
_to rescue for reuse of almost everything
_to unify the finishes of common rooms all together: pavement, carpentry and fixed furniture to incorporate the areas and functions, previously somehow hidden, to the whole of the common space; to simplify and increase the feeling of continuity and natural lighting.
_to introduce the colour with a palette that adapts to the existing, reminiscent of classical modernity present in the original building and that has become blurred over time. The use of colour serves to generate a serene and optimistic atmosphere at the same time.
_ a formalization of the design and the commissioning detail as simple as possible to achieve the objective with a minimum budget.

La vivienda original construida en 1968 según proyecto del arquitecto Celestino Martínez, tiene un marcado carácter con una distribución lineal norte-sur en la que las estancias comunes se extienden desde exterior norte hasta fachada interior opuesta a patio interior sur. Lo que aquí se plantea es un bootleg que recopila las bases existentes y añade puntualmente nuevos elementos al tiempo que elimina ciertas intervenciones sucesivas sobre el tipo original que se han valorado como distorsionantes. Para dar como resultado un remix en el que el ritmo básico lo define la preexistencia. Una reedición de la vivienda del 68 con una adaptación de las funciones ‘de servicio’ a los usos contemporáneos. Las actuaciones propuestas se ordenan en tres intervenciones (cocina-lavadero / galería-zona común / sala). Se pretende cierta fidelidad a la definición original basada ésta en un diseño elegante con acabados comunes como la madera de sapelly barnizada en oscuro que se hace protagonista en suelos y elementos de carpintería interior (frentes continuos o grandes cajones de persianas en dinteles de huecos exteriores). Así, entendiendo, que la esencia del carácter de la vivienda reside en esa remezcla entre texturas de connotaciones que persiguen lo clásico y detalles modernos, se propone: _salvar casi todo _unificar los acabados en conjunto de estancias comunes: pavimento y definición de carpinterías / mobiliario fijo para incorporar las áreas y funciones, antes algo escondidas, al conjunto del espacio común; simplificar y aumentar la sensación de continuidad y de iluminación natural _introducir color con una paleta que se adapta a lo existente, con reminiscencias de la modernidad clásica, presente en el edificio original y que se ha ido desdibujando con el tiempo. El uso del color sirve para generar una atmósfera serena y optimista al mismo tiempo. _una formalización del diseño y del detalle de puesta en obra sencilla para conseguir el objetivo con un presupuesto mínimo.
