Proposals for a 244,000 sq ft office. The scheme, which is a critical phase Of the £1.4bn regeneration project in the heart of Manchester, comprises 13-storeys of offices alongside 13,300 sq ft of flexible space, which has been set aside for uses which could include leisure, exhibition space, conferencing, a theatre, or cinema. The building generates floor plates of around 23,300 sq ft at the lower levels tapering to 15,300 sq ft at the highest levels. Also included are nearly 10,000 sq ft of terraces across the upper floors. The building form has been generated out of a response to the bend in the river Medlock. The corresponding chamfers orientate the building towards long views across a newly landscaped 6.5 acre public park.
