130 William, Adjaye Associates’ first high-rise tower in Manhattan. Featuring 244 residences and rising 66 stories, the project – led by real estate developer Lightstone – will make a bold addition to Manhattan’s iconic skyline. The design celebrates its context in Lower Manhattan, with a hand-cast concrete façade that draws inspiration from the stone and masonry craftsmanship of the historic buildings in the neighborhood. 130 William’s distinctive silhouette of rhythmic, large scale arches, which draw inspiration from the mercantile structures that once populated the area, ensure natural light floods the residences. The building also features expansive outdoor loggias offering sweeping views of the city and a generous new public plaza park, a piece of urban placemaking that offers a transition between the bustle of the city and the respite of the residences.
