Herzog & de Meuron

Lombard Odier has unveiled the project to build its new global headquarters in Bellevue (Geneva) by 2021, designed by Herzog & de Meuron.
_

On a 27,400 m2 plot of land bordering on Lake Geneva in Bellevue, north of Geneva, Lombard Odier will build a new headquarters providing space for 2,600 employees, an auditorium seating 600, and a staff restaurant. Faithful to the title of the international architecture competition ‘One Roof’, the new project will consist of a single building with neither a front nor a back; all sides are treated equally. The most salient feature of the building are the generously cantilevered, curved and conspicuously slender floor slabs.

This project was selected following a competition, upon invitation, between eight eight international architectural firms, Bernard Tschumi, BIG, Diener & Diener, Dominique Perrault and OMA, among them.

Geneva-based firm Favre & Guth will work with the winner to implement this major assignment.
