Mori Building today announced an extensive slate of large-scale redevelopment projects involving the construction of three new mixed-use towers tentatively called Toranomon Hills Business Tower, Toranomon Hills Residential Tower, and Toranomon Hills Station Tower. OMA’s will design Toranomon Hills Station Tower, a unique mixed-use high rise offering an innovative mix of office, hotel, and retail that highlights public amenities, including a new Hibiya Line subway station. Located at the junction of Toranomon Hills (the business cultural center) and Ark Hills (a lifestyle cultural center), the Toranomon Hills Station Tower responds to the ambitions of both neighborhoods, incorporating an elevated park that links to the surrounding green network, extending the newly reconfigured pedestrian boulevard of Shin Tora Dori. Designed by sShohei Shigematsu, the building is scheduled to open in 2022, with partial subway service to begin in time for the 2020 Olympics.
