Transformation of an old barn into dwelling with external terrace.
The volume is part of a complex of buildings built and occupied by workers from the nearby quarry when it was activity.
The building has the shape of a barn.
The buildings form a closed located on the outskirts of town.
The volume consists of two bays, built at different times.The project deals with the specificity, through a puncture inside that gives them cohesion and the creation of a mezzanine at two levels in the first span.
Space work and relaxation occupy the second span, opens largely on a terrace external in overhang of the ground.
The new materials are limited and generally untreated solid wood, concrete, plastering.They express a certain harshness in line with the existing expressive simplicity.
