Designed by Duggan Morris Architects and Gillespie’s Landscape Architects, Elephant Park will deliver a new community heart for Elephant & Castle, incorporating a complementary mix of uses,unique for a building of this kind.
These include:
_A nursery providing early years education to families at Elephant Park and the surrounding community, as well as job and training opportunities for local people
_A community café that will provide a meeting point for the local community, as well as a flexible community space, managed by the café, and designed to accommodate a range of community events
_A pocket park next to the energy hub, with energy themed play facilities for all local children to enjoy
_ Combined heat and power plant (CHP) utilising natural gas and biomethane – that will deliver low carbon, affordable heat and hot water to residents and businesses across Elephant Park and beyond.
